Ex Matildas striker Larissa Krumer announced that she and her wife, Jodi, are expecting their third child.

Kramer surprised the Australian football community when he retired in March aged just 28stating that it was time to put his family first and return home.

But the revelation that a new addition is on the way adds another layer to the solution.

“Our little family is growing and we couldn’t be happier,” the Krumers share.

“Baby Krumer is due in November.”

Former team-mates Emily Gilnick and Isabelle Dalton were among friends to congratulate, while the likes of Amy Sayer and Amy Chapman also celebrated the news.

Krumer played 33 games for the Matildes and her last appearance came in April 2023 before missing out on the squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

She spent much of her career at home in the A-League but joined Norwegian side SK Brann at the start of last year.

Despite their domestic season only starting in March, Krumer called time after defeat by Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Such was her commitment to her family that she gave up soccer altogether and planned to work only as a plumber.

“It was tough,” Krumer said.

“They put me first for a long time, now I think it’s time for me to put them first.

“The two little ones are very small – I miss them very much. I can’t wait to get back home and be part of the family again.”

The Queenslander battled through several operations on a broken leg in 2019 to return to the sport two years later.

Krumer recorded his landmark 100th A-League appearance just weeks before signing Brann last year.

She made the most of her time off after missing out on the Matildas’ World Cup squad last year by marrying Jodie in a surprise wedding in July.

“It’s something we’ve always wanted to do and there’s nothing better than a cheeky surprise for everyone,” the footballer wrote.

“I love you Jodes, forever won’t be long enough.”
