Young man dead, 10-year-old airlifted to hospital after crash south of Wadeye, in Northern Territory’s remote northwest

A 28-year-old man died in a one-car accident in Northern Territoryis northwest on Saturday.
He was in the car with two other adults and a 10-year-old child when the car crashed about 5km south of Wadeye, one of Australia’s largest remote Indigenous communities.
Police and staff from the local clinic went to the crash site after receiving a report of the incident at 5:45 p.m. NT Police said.

The 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 10-year-old was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital by CareFlight as a precaution.
The other two adults were taken to the community clinic for examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
The young man’s death marks the 58th life lost on North Carolina roads this year.
